About

Love You A Latte is a zine dedicated to Dr. Robotnik and Agent Stone from the Sonic the Hedgehog cinematic universe.

This zine focuses on all aspects of their relationship (romantic or platonic) and who they are as individual characters.

All content types are welcome, such as fanart, fanfiction, fan essays, poetry, abstract work, graphic design, and many other forms of media that can be printed in a book. (For more information on what types of content are accepted, please visit the guidelines page.)

Zine Production

This particular project is inspired by the fanzines of the 20th century. Our zine will be a PDF file formatted into a 8.5 x 5.5 inch booklet that can be downloaded, and then manually printed and stapled together by you in your own home.

Depending on how many submissions are received, the zine may have multiple issues.

The zine is completely free, and the PDF will be available for download on February 14, 2022. Please check back here for updates.

Guidelines

Content Guidelines

  • All content must be between a G rating and a PG-13 rating (if you need clarification for your submission, reach out to Spoopy Latte on twitter at @misslattesart)

  • All submissions must be about Stobotnik, Dr. Robotnik, and/or Agent Stone.

  • Submissions can be any visual or literary content, such as fanart, fanfiction, fanmixes (playlists) with a visual cover, poetry, graphic designs, collages, fan essays, and abstract expression (freeform visual writing with imagery)

  • UP TO 3 SUBMISSIONS PER PERSON ARE ALLOWED. Read below for further details and exceptions.

Literary Guidelines

  • All lengthy literary pieces (such as fanfiction, fan essays, songs with annotations or translated lyrics, etc) should be typed in a size 9 arial font on pages that are formatted to be 8.5 x 5.5 inches in size, with a margin of 0.5 inches on all sides of the page.

  • Fanfiction or Fan Essays cannot exceed 6 pages.

  • If you plan on submitting more than one piece of work for the zine, you may only submit ONE fic/essay. The other two pieces must be something that only takes up one page each.

  • If you submit a visual poem, please try to make each individual poem fit on one 8.5 x 5.5 inch page.

  • Multiple non-visual poems can be submitted. (Please make sure all of your poems do not exceed 3 pages worth of content.)

  • If you plan on submitting song lyrics with annotations, please contact Spoopy Latte on Twitter (@misslattesart) for the layout.

  • Submissions can be new work that is exclusive to the zine or previously created older work.

Visual Guidelines

  • All visual content (fanart, fanmixes, abstract work, etc) must be created on or cropped to fit on a canvas that is 8.5" x 5.5" inches in size.

  • Portrait orientation is preferred for artwork, but not necessary.

  • Completed artwork is not necessary. You can submit pages full of numerous sketches if you'd like.

  • If you are submitting a fanmix, please contact Spoopy Latte on Twitter (@misslattesart) for the layout.

  • Submissions can be new work that is exclusive to the zine or previously created older work.

Submit

If your submission is complete and meets the criteria listed under the zine guidelines, please send your submissions to [email protected].

In your email, please use the following format for each piece submitted:

Content Type: (fanart, fic, etc)Content Title: (If applicable. If not, type Untitled 1, Untitled 2, etc for each submission)Artist/Author Name: (the name you want to be credited as. Anonymous is also an option.)Social Media: (typically your twitter or Ao3 username. Put N/A if you don't want to share your socials.)
Don't forget to attach your files to the email! :D

Also, be sure to have your attached file names match the title of your work. If your work is untitled, make sure the numbers correlate to what you put for the title in your email (Untitled 1, Untitled 2, etc).
